One Laptop per Child(olpc)

One laptop per child is an us non profit organization trying to address one of the most important need of the future that is education for the young generation. The laptop which they have created is for only 10 thousand rupees and it has got all the features to educate a child aged between 4-12.
It has got additional facility of mesh network and a wi fi enabled device. It also has a camera in it.
Wat more can you ask for ...The idea behind this is going to the poorer regions and each child gets a laptop so that they can work on it.Its a linux based os and its user friendly.
We need to get the olpc running in india with the immediate effect for the uplifting of our living standards .
We had gone to khairat a village which houses approx 200 ppl and it had 30 students in the school where the pilot project has been set up by the digital bridge foundation a company of reliance.
We met amit gogna who is the person who has taken lot of pains and it was a good experience there..The profesor who was teaching there has become an expert now Prof Sandip Surve is a dedicated person. In such a remote place its hats off the way things working there..

I would be posting the video which I took the way the students studying and using the XO (the machine they have named it as XO)... The laptop had the keyboard in devnagri script and for the locals the language transaltors were there,,,,,,It has replaced the use of boards....So the whole experoence was amazing ...
